CP outage on attempt to access APS instance screen
Original Publishing Date: 2020-01-22 Symptoms After the Odin Automation upgrade to 7.x, there is a recurring CP outage on any attempt to access APS application instance screens. Cause The VPS (shared) resource class is removed from OA during the upgrade to 6.0. For some reason the previous upgrade did not handle this gracefully, which results in unexpected configuration after the upgrade to OA 7.x. Resolution Remove all resource types based on VPS (shared) resource class. How to resolve: the Name field in the .json file should be modified to be unique. Exception: Unable to create the Resource Category 'Other Add-Ons' - the Category description is empty. Exception: Unable to create the Sales Category 'Business Applications' - the Category description is empty. How to resolve: Modify the Description field in the .json file to make it non-empty. Exception: License 8f9819d1-456e-42d0-9396-ed0438d8007f not found How to resolve: This offer should be removed from the "Service Plans" section of the .json file. As new technologies emerge, the demand for older product versions and components decreases. Accordingly, as we continue to address our customers' needs by introducing new products and services, we also periodically need to end maintenance and support for older software versions. END OF MAINTENANCE ANNOUCEMENT Windows Azure Pack (all versions) module for Odin Automation Premium has entered an "Extended Support" status on 1 February 2017. This status will last until 31 December 2017 and during this time, Ingram Micro Cloud will no longer be releasing regular product updates or bug fixes. Only critical security issues will be addressed by the support and development. Should you need support during this time, support incidents can be reported via the support portal: http://www.odin.com/support/. END OF LIFE ANNOUNCEMENT After the end of Extended Support period on 31 December 2017, Windows Azure Pack module (all versions) will undergo end-of-life. At that time, the Windows Azure Pack module will no longer undergo further development or maintenance and will no longer accept support requests. NEXT STEPS Ingram Micro Cloud has transferred the intellectual property for the Windows Azure Pack service module to Datacom Systems, who will continue development, maintenance and support of this module for a fee. Original Publishing Date: 2020-01-22 Symptoms VE has status RESTORE_FAILED in CP and when you try to stop or start this VE, the following error will be thrown: [IM] P60002: This operation is invalid for the current VE state: RESTORE_FAILED The same behavior is possible in FAILOVER_FAILED state as well. Cause Software issue CCU-20127: Impossible to manage VE if state is RESTORE_FAILED By design, The only operations allowed for a failed VE restore operation are restore and delete. Resolution It is required to understand the cause behind the failure and try to restore the VE again. Contact Technical Support if it is required to fix the state manually anyway.
